Yes. During the spring registration period (Jan 2-March 7), if you need to cancel your registration for whatever reason, you can receive a full refund minus the processing fees. After March 8th there are NO refunds. An exception to this rule is for high school-aged players who are trying out for the high school team. If you register your child and he/she makes the high school team, you can receive a full refund minus processing fee if requested by the week following tryouts. For fall ball, you can receive a full refund (minus the processing fee) during the registration period (June24th - August 9th ). Once registration closes, there are NO refunds.
Yes, a non-resident can play in any South Farmington recreational or “house” league in the spring and fall.
When can I register and how much does it cost?
Registration for the recreational spring season takes place from January 2nd to March 7th. The cost for all baseball and softball leagues, is $195 for the spring season. Tee Ball (coed) is $100. Registration for the recreational fall season runs from July 15 to August 12. The cost for fall ball is $110 for baseball and softball, and $55 for Tee Ball
Players are put into divisions based on grades. Teeball is for ages 4-6. Must be 4 by April 1st for Spring season and 4 by September 1st for Fall Ball. All other divisions are based on grades. Baseball 3rd-4th and up are assigned teams based on a draft that happens after registration closes.
Yes, for the spring season, there is a spot on the registration form to request to play with another player Tee Ball & 1/2 Baseball. We try to honor these requests as best as we can, however, we make no guarantees. In baseball, divisions 3/4 grade and higher a draft will occur, so friends and coach requests are not available. For the Fall Ball season, teams are assigned and not drafted, so coaches and teammates can be requested. However, we can not guarantee the requests, and we also reserve the right to adjust teams to maintain a competitive balance.
